The STAR (Student Triumph Awards Recognition) Luncheon provides an opportunity for the community to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of Communities In Schools of Wichita/Sedgwick Co. students. Each year, we honor students from each CIS of Wichita/Sedgwick Co. school who have made significant progress in the areas of academics, behavior, and attendance, and we honor a family who has overcome great obstacles for their children to achieve success.  In addition, one school receives an award for their community service activities. Our guests include business and community leaders, superintendents and school officials from Wichita, Valley Center, Haysville and Derby.
